Monkman & Seagull's Genius Guide To Britain
Eric Monkman and Bobby Seagull became internet sensations after their appearance on the quiz show University Challenge. Now, they want to take you on a ‘genius’ tour of the United Kingdom in search of British scientific and technological ingenuity.
Eric and Bobby head to Northern England where they discover “The Captive Flying Machines,” which are the oldest amusement ride in Europe; the giant telescopes of the mysterious Jodrell Bank Observatory and a museum dedicated only to lawnmowers.
Eric and Bobby’s second episode is all about industrial engineering as they sail across the highest navigable aqueduct in the world and climb the summit of Mount Snowdown via the mountain’s iconic rack-and-pinion narrow gauge steam railway train.
In Northern Ireland, Monkman and Seagull celebrate some of the most significant transportation breakthroughs of the last century; including the ejector seat, a boat known as ‘Titanic’s Little Sister’ and the infamous 1980s automobile - the DeLorean.
